Norman E. Wrobel, 58 of Erie died Friday May 4, 2012 at the Erie VA Medical Center. He was born in Erie on December 18, 1953 son of the late Stanley and Harriet Ulanowski Wrobel. He was a U.S. Airforce Veteran of the Vietnam War serving. from 1971 to 1975. Norman was formerly employed with Kraus Electric, GE Supply, and Gexpro. He was a member of the Polish Falcons Nest 123, where he served as an officer and director for many years, including serving as president, treasurer and director. He also was a member of the Sportsmen's Athletic Club and the Huzar Club. Survivors include his sister Eileen Thomas and her husband Bill of Houston Texas, his brother Leonard Wrobel of Erie, nieces Denise Boyles, and Patricia Kownacki and her husband Tim, great nieces and nephew, Devin Boyles , Drew, Emilee, and Hanna Kownacki. Friends may call at the Carl A. Slomski & Son Funeral Home Inc., 2101 Ash St. on Monday from 5 p.m. to the time of services there at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be private.
