Anna Rose Hamme Obituary
Anna Rose Hamme, age 94, passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at Ball Pavilion. She was born in Union City, Pa. on December 4, 1917, daughter of the late George and Mary Kessler Petersen. A current resident of Millcreek Twp., she had lived in the Erie area her entire life. Anna was a member of East Lake Road Alliance Church. She was a Sunday school teacher at Lawrence Park Alliance Church for many years and continued to be very active at East Lake Road Alliance Church. She and her husband were founding members of the Lawrence Park Alliance Church. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, gardening and canning, and especially enjoyed time spent with her family. Besides her parents, Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Hamme; a daughter, Elaine Wickham; one brother, Bill Petersen; and a sister, Helen Petersen. She is survived by two sons, Don Hamme (Carolyn) of Harborcreek Twp. and Paul Hamme (Karen) of McKean; two sisters, Margie Kosterman of Harborcreek Twp. and Viola Dudzinski (Bill) of Kearsarge; four grandchildren, Donald Hamme, Jr. (Judy) of Milllcreek Twp., Lori Robinson (Everett) of Waterford, Kimberly Ackendorf (Casey) of Westfield, N.Y. and Graham Scott Mashner of Girard; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces. Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Road on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. Further visitation will take place at East Lake Road Alliance Church on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service there at 10 a.m. with Rev. Rick Rubeis officiating. Interment, Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to East Lake Road Alliance Church, 4500 East Lake Rd., Erie, PA 16511.
