Walter N. Morrow, age 91, of Erie, passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at his residence. He was born in Erie on January 31, 1921, son of the late William and Dora Hoffman Morrow. Walter lived in Erie most of his life, residing in Florida from 1981 to 2001. He was affiliated with Community United Church on West 38th Street. Walter was employed with General Electric Co. for 35 years, retiring in 1981. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and bowling. Walter was a veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Army. He earned the rank of Staff Sergeant and was a Purple Heart recipient. Walter was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Larson Morrow on October 17, 2012; and four brothers, Robert, William, Paul and Renzie Morrow. He is survived by three daughters, Patricia Erdely (James), Caroline Fedei (Richard) and Althea Hyatt (Thomas) all of Erie; two sons, Walter Morrow Jr. (Mary Ellen) of Enterprise, Fla. and Robert Morrow (Louise) of Deltona, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Road on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and are invited to attend a Funeral Service there on Monday at 11 a.m. conducted by Rev. Rick Moyer. A full military service will follow at Erie County Memorial Gardens conducted by American Legion Millcreek Post #773.
