Thomas B. Weaver, 90, of Lakeland, Fla. passed away November 3, 2012. Tom was born May 19, 1922 in Parish, N.Y. to Glenn and Mary (LaForce) Weaver. Army Veteran of WWII, he served with the Anti-aircraft Searchlight Battalion in Florida where he met his future wife Ruth Turner. They were married March 31, 1946 in Fairview, Pa. where they lived until 1985. He was a past commander of Fairview American Legion Post 742. Tom had many trades but retired from Loblaws as a meat cutter. His hobbies included Western style square dancing, bowling, woodworking, gardening and cooking. Tom is preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Turner Weaver, March 11, 2011. He is also preceded in death by a son, Stephen "Stevie" Weaver; a sister, Marguerite Howard and his brother, Glenn Weaver, Jr. Tom is survived by his sons, Tommy (Lynn) Weaver of Waterford, Pa. and John (Jean) Weaver of Haughton, La.; his daughter, Christine Kintner of Lakeland, Fla. and seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 12, 2012 at the Citrus Woods Clubhouse.
