Aldean E. Hetrick McMillen, 86, of Erie and formerly of Gunnison Road, died Tuesday morning November 13, 2012 at her residence following a brief illness. A resident of Erie most of her life she was born in Corsica, Pa., July 19, 1926 a daughter of the late Clarence and Martha Simpson Hetrick. Aldean worked in housekeeping at the Days Inn for many years where she made many dear friends. She enjoyed reading and baking. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Herman W. McMillen; one son, Steven W. McMillen; two sisters, Alma Smith and Phyllis Diller; and two brothers, Gary and Keith Hetrick. Survivors include four daughters, Sandra Miller and her husband John of Durham, N.C., Vicky Kuchcinski and her husband Ronald of Erie, Ann McKay and her husband Daniel of Erie, and Kathy Shade and her husband Richard of Erie; two sisters, Helen Williams of Strattanville, Pa. and Prudy Young of Corsica, Pa.; one brother, Ralph Hetrick and his wife Donna of Kirtland, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Road, on Thursday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and are invited to services there on Friday morning at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Erie County Memorial Gardens.
