Maria Michelle Carr, age 53, 1602 ½ Buffalo Rd., passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at the Village at Luther Square. She was born in Erie, Pa., on April 14, 1959, daughter of the late Willie Carr, Sr. and Pazella McBride Carr. A lifelong resident of Erie, she was a graduate of Academy High School. She was a bartender at Na'Mas Café for 17 years. She had also worked in assembly for Port Erie. Maria was an avid musician who loved playing drums, singing, playing the keyboard and disc jockeying. She also enjoyed shooting pool. She loved her family and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Willie Lee Carr, Jr. and Leroy Carr; a sister, Frieda L. Carr; and two nephews, James Carr and Lonnie Carr, Jr. She leaves to cherish her memory three brothers, Paul Carr and Charles Carr, both of Erie and Lonnie D. Carr (Lisa) of Huntsville, Ala.; six sisters, Cathy Carr, Debora Carr, Angela Carr-Heidelberg, Sheila Carr and Simone Carr-Pharr, all of Erie, and Georgianna London of Bel Air, Md.; aunts, uncles and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Friends may visit with the family on Monday, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at First Born Apostolic Church of God, 1221 E. 19th St. A service will follow at 1 p.m. conducted by Bishop Climatee Roberts. Interment in Erie Cemetery. Funeralization by House of Law Inc., 9406 Frankstown Rd., Penn Hills, Pa.
