Corinne "Connie" Louise Rovny, age 72, of Erie, passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2012 at her home, after a long, courageous fight with cancer and alzheimers. She was born in Erie, Pa. on November 28, 1939, daughter of the late Clyde and Ferne (Smalley) Edinger. Corinne was a graduate of Academy High School and then went on to work at GTE and Arthur F. Schultz as a telephone operator. She was then active as a stay at home mother and homemaker. She was a member of Erie First Assembly of God Church. Corinne enjoyed gardening, crocheting, knitting, cooking, canning and painting. Her love of family, Christ Jesus and animals were especially important to her. She never hesitated to share her faith in the Lord with everyone she met and, as soon as she met someone, they were no longer strangers to her. She was especially fond of driving around Presque Isle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Lawrence Edinger and his wife Angie, and her brother-in-law Arnold King. Corinne is survived by her husband George; four children, George Rovny (Andrea) of Weatherford, Texas, Sherri Lawrence of Waterford, Keith Rovny of Erie and Corinne (Brian) Bogacki of Edinboro; twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Two sisters, Patricia King and Sandra Biggie; her brother Richard Edinger (Donna) and several nieces and nephews also survive. Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 W. 26th Street (at Powell Ave), on Tuesday, November 20 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and are invited to attend a service there on Wednesday, November 21 at 12 noon, with Pastor Don Fisher of Erie First Assembly officiating. Burial will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Kanzius Cancer Research Foundation, 130 West 8th St., Erie, PA 16501; the
