Clara S. Truchanowicz Lapinsky, age 85, of Erie passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2012 at St.Mary's Home of Erie. She was born in Erie on August 12, 1927 a daughter of the late Vincent and Rose Szymanoska Truchanowicz. She worked in housekeeping at the cinemas at West 16th and Pittsburgh Avenue. Clara enjoyed bingo and crafting. She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene F. Lapinsky in 2004, her sons Robert W. Lapinsky in 2011 and Ronald E. Lapinsky, four sisters Rose Almeda, Virginia Nowacinski, Anna Christensen, and Irene Gilson. Three brothers, Chester Tanner, Joseph Tanner and John Truchanowicz. Clara is survived by two daughters: Nancy J. Meyers, husband Darrell of Erie, Linda Bizzarro of Erie; three sons, Patrick L. Lapinsky of Erie, Arnold R. Lapinsky of Bradenton, Fla. and Brian D. Lapinsky, wife Sukee of NE Newark, Ohio; nine grandchildren; Michael Meyers, Ryan, Danielle, Kimberly and Jade Lapinsky, Melissa, Gina and Christina Bizzarro, and Damian Lapinsky and eight great grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother Richard Truchanowicz, and a daugher-in-law, Betsy Schruers-Lapinsky, all of Erie. Friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 West 38th Street. Services will be held there on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Peace Church at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
