Gladys A. Anderson Prince Milner, 94, of Erie, died Monday morning, November 26, 2012 at UPMC Hamot following a brief illness. A resident of Erie all of her life she was born September 4, 1918 a daughter of the late Bert W. and Grace Merchant Anderson. Gladys was a 1935 graduate of Academy High School. She worked with Lord Manufacturing for several years and Lovell Manufacturing as a machinist for over 14 years before retiring in 1971. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of the Covenant where she sang in the choir for over 30 years. She was past President of the VFW Post 470 Ladies Auxiliary from 1989-1990 and a volunteer at the VA Medical Center and Pennsylvania Soldiers and Sailors Home. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert W. King, Jack Prince, and Howard Milner; and one daughter, Janice Prince. Survivors include one son, Eric L. Prince of Erie; five grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Road, on Thursday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services there at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be private in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
