Nancy Lee Feichtner Edwards, age 80, formerly of Erie, died November 16, 2012 in Apex North Carolina. She was born in Erie, August 11, 1932, daughter of the late William J. and Marie Feichtner. Nancy was a Human Resource Representative at Fenestra Corporation for many years. She was also the owner and loved operating The Knitty Gritty Yarn Shop on Main Street in Fairview, Pa. Nancy relocated to Apex N.C. in 2005 to spend her retirement close to family but never left Erie in heart and spirit, spending the last few years reminiscing with new friends on the "You Know You're From Erie" and "Project Erie" Facebook Groups. She was a special woman with a caring nature and a love for cats. Nancy was preceded in death by Jack, her loving husband of 45 years, their son David, and her sister Helen Phares. Survivors include John S. Edwards, Jr. (wife Michelle) of Charlton, N.Y., and grandchildren Greg and Kyle; Steven J. Edwards (wife Tracy) of Apex, N.C., and grandchildren Ryan and Joshua. Nancy's surviving siblings include her brother, Jack Feichtner (wife Sheila) of Fiddletown, Calif., sister Mary Brown (husband Vernon, nephew Terry Brown, niece Lori Goor) of Camarillo, Calif., and sister Susan Etzel (husband Howard) of Hollidaysburg, Pa. Also surviving are a very special niece and nephew, Nancy Karen Etzel of Philadelphia, Pa., and Ryan Etzel of State College, Pa. Nancy will be cremated in North Carolina with a service to be held at the Laurel Hill Cemetery in the summer of 2013. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Shriners Children's Hospital Erie, Pa.
