Charlene I. (Coleman) Riblet, age 71, of Erie, with her family at her side, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 7, 2012 at the St. Vincent Health Center after an extended illness. She was born in Erie on July 31, 1941, daughter of the late Neil and Valerie (Sigmond) Coleman. Charlene was a graduate of St. Benedict's Academy and was a retired employee of the City of Erie where she had worked in the Income Tax Office for 32 years. She enjoyed her gardening and had a wonderful collection of rose bushes. She also enjoyed boating and travel and had a great love of animals, especially for her dog Gilligan. She is survived by her beloved husband of 51 years, Gerald E. Riblet, Sr.; a son, Gerald E. Riblet, Jr. and his close friend Anne Eisert; a daughter, Valerie A. Schmidt of Erie; grandchild, Erin Schmidt Zaiger and her husband Damion; and great granddaughter, Lilyana Noelle all of Erie; a brother, David Coleman and his wife, Judy of Erie. Friends may call at the Francis V. Kloecker Funeral Home, Inc., 2502 Sassafras St. on Monday from 2p.m. to 4 p.n. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and are invited to a prayer service there on Tuesday morning at 9:30 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church -Bread of Life Community at 10 a.m. Send condolences to www.kloeckerfuneralhome.com Burial will be at the Erie Cemetery.
