Carole I. Wilson, 75 of Lake City, died Friday, December 7, 2012 at UPMC Hamot following a lengthy illness. She was born in North Girard, April 25, 1937, a daughter of the late Frederick and Irene Kreider Daggett. Carole graduated from the Rice Avenue Union High School in 1955, Hamot School of Nursing in 1959, and Villa Maria College in 1977. Carole lovingly worked as a School Nurse at Elk Valley Elementary School in Lake City, Visiting Nurses Association and retired from the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Erie in 1999. She was a life-long member of the Lake City United Methodist Church, where she stayed busy volunteering graciously. She was also a member of the Albion Chapter #22 of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Hamot Alumni Association. She loved her family very much and enjoyed being a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. During her spare time she enjoyed crocheting, knitting and many, many crafts. She will be sadly missed by her family which includes her husband, Paul E. Wilson Sr., whom she married August 24, 1957 in Westfield, N.Y.; also by two daughters, Karen L. Wilson-Kibler and Beth Ann Wilson both of Lake City; two sons, Paul E. Wilson Jr. of Mt Laurel, New Jersey and Capt. Gary M. Wilson USN and his wife Amanda, stationed in Bahrain; six grandchildren, Nathaniel E. Kibler, Jennifer A. Campbell, Nicholas L. Campbell and his wife Jessica, SrA. Michael R. Campbell USAF and his wife Ashley, Nathan R. Sampsell and his wife Stacie and Patrick E. Wilson; great-grandchildren Isaiah, Lexie and Nolan Sampsell. Carole is also survived by a sister Joanne Desko of Girard and several dear friends, nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Saturday, December 15, from 2 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Daniel R. Edder Funeral Home, 309 Main St. East, Girard. Services will be held there on Sunday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Brock Beveridge officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the .
