Mom, Grandma, and Great Grandma Dorothea Jane Mackay Moller, age 86, passed away Wednesday, December 12th, 2012 after a short battle with cancer. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on June 26th, 1926, the daughter of Grant and Dorothea Murphy Mackay. Dorothea was a Register Nurse. She received her nursing degree from Mercy College, Ann Arbor, Mich. She was a founding member of Our Lady of Peace Church and taught CCD there for many years. She was also a "Reading Grandma" at Ridgefield Elementary School. She was a wonderful seamstress and crafter (who could make anything), she left many handmade memories for her family to enjoy for years to come. Besides her parents, Dorothea was preceded in death by her husband William (2000); an infant daughter Marcia and son Stephen (2002); four brothers, Grant, John, Richard, and Donald; and one sister Patricia. She is survived by two daughters, Gretchen Ekstrom (Timothy) of Millcreek, Anne Akers (Eddy) of Lexington, N.C., and son, Michael Moller (Brenda) of Erie; seven grandchildren, Marcia Mesaros (Brian), Nikki Bainton (Doug), TJ Ekstrom (Jennifer), Zachary and Lindsay Moller, Adam and Andrew Akers; also survived by the loves of her life, her great-granddaughters, Lexi and Megan Mesaros. Also survived my many nieces and nephews. Friends may call Friday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 West 38th Street at Greengarden Boulevard, and may attend a prayer service there Saturday at 10:15 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Julia Church at 11 a.m. Burial in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
