Ann Schultz McCormick, 77, of Erie, died peacefully and surrounded by her family, after a brief illness, on Friday December 14, 2012. Ann was born in Erie on April 3, 1935, the daughter of the late Arthur Frederick and Madeline Mary (Schaaf) Schultz. Ann was a 1949 graduate of Villa Maria Elementary School, a 1953 graduate of Mercyhurst Preparatory School, attended Marymount College in Tarrytown, N.Y., and in 1957, she received a Bachelors Degree from Mercyhurst College. Upon graduation from Mercyhurst, Ann married Timothy J. McCormick, whom she met in the first grade. Tim and Ann were married for 51 years, until his death on November 3, 2008. In addition to her husband, Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur F. and Madeline M. Schultz, her brothers, Arthur F. Schultz, Jr., Robert C. Schultz and his wife Frances, Harold H. Schultz and his wife Rosella, and her brother-in-law, Jerome H. Blakeslee. Ann is survived by her eight children: Timothy J. McCormick Jr. and his wife Elizabeth, of Fairview, Pa.; Brian A. McCormick and his wife Angela, of Annapolis, Md.; Martin G. McCormick and his wife Kristen, of Fairview, Pa.; Kathleen M. Klebanski and her husband Norbert, of Erie; Kara A. McCormick, of Erie; Madeline M. Buckley and her husband Matthew, of Hunt Valley, Md.; Arthur F. Schultz ("Fritz") McCormick and his wife Virginia, of Newton, Ma.; and Frances A. McCormick, of Erie. Ann is further survived by her 16 grandchildren: Kathleen Wernicki and her husband Robert of Erie; Maureen Burgy and her husband Christopher of Bethesda, Md.; Carrie McCormick of Pittsburgh, Pa.; Melissa McCormick, of Providence, R.I.; Fallon, Madeline, Christian, and Harrison McCormick, of Annapolis, Md.; Morgan and Marmee McCormick, of Fairview, Pa.; Christopher, Daniel, and Timothy Klebanski, of Erie; and Grace, Cecilia, and Margaret McCormick, of Newton, Mass. Ann is also survived by one great-granddaughter, Claire Wernicki, of Erie. Further surviving is her sister, Mary A. Blakeslee, as well as many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 West 38th Street, at Greengarden Boulevard, on Monday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Services will be held there on Tuesday at 9 o'clock, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, at St. Peter's Cathedral, at 10 o'clock.
