Michael G. Tousey, 56 of Girard, died Tuesday December 18, 2012 at Pleasant Ridge Manor following an extended illness. He was born July 23, 1956, a son of the late Norman D. "Red" and Stella L. Furey Tousey. Michael graduated from Wattsburg High School in 1974. He later worked for Bucyrus-Erie in the Plate and Weld Shop also Zurn Industries; Riley Stoker and taught welding at the Regional Skill Center in Erie. He had most recently been employed at Custom Engineering in the Quality Control Department. He was a member of the West Springfield United Methodist Church. Michael had a passion for fishing and hunting, he was a sport fishing charter captain and a member of the Northwest PA Walleye Association. He also was an avid turkey hunter and loved flying remote control airplanes. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a young sister, Donna May Tousey and a step sister, Sharon Hagerty. He is survived by his step mother, Barbara Tousey of East Springfield; three brothers, Bruce A. Tousey and his wife Reta of Erie, Norman E. Tousey of West Springfield, David L. Tousey and his wife Terrie of Erie; four step sisters, Valorie Thomas of Girard, June Ann Zimmerman and her husband Earl of Conneaut, Ohio, Hally Marie Smith of Ontario, Canada, Penny Lynn Field and her husband Jim of W. Springfield and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held privately by the family. Memorials may be made to the West Springfield United Methodist Church, 13790 Chestnut St., W.
