Lynn C. Huston age 82 formerly of Wattsburg Rd., died on Thursday December 20, 2012 at the Rouse Home in Youngsville, Pa. He was born in Erie on October 26, 1930 a son of the late Harold and Ruth Larson Huston. He graduated from Academy High School in 1948 and proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was in corporate engineering, working as a draftsman and retired from the Hammermill Paper Co. in 1992. He had previously worked at A.O. Smith Co., Kaiser Aluminum and Skinner Engineering. Lynn was a member of American Legion Post #945 and was an avid woodworker. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Mildreth "Judy" Williams Huston in 1992, one brother Robert Lawrence and one sister Geneva Nelson. He is survived by one son Lynn D. Huston and his wife Dominica of Erie, two daughters; Eileen Laskey and her husband Alan of Erie and Caroline Huston of Spartansburg. Lynn is further survived by five grandchildren; Vicky, Michael and Shelly Laskey, Jennifer Landis and Joshua Huston and six great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc. 5000 Wattsburg Rd. Erie, PA 16504 on Wednesday December 26, 2012, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday morning at the funeral home with Pastor Michael Sperry officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family c/o the funeral home. Please visit to sign the Book of Memories.
