Mildred R. Murray Obituary
Mildred R. Murray, a long-time resident of Lawrence Park, but more recently living in Virginia Beach, Va., passed away January 8, 2013 at the age of 88. She was born May 22, 1924, in Erie, a daughter of the late Michael Juhas and Mildred DolakJuhasMihalco. Millie graduated from East High School and Erie Business College. She worked in the accounting department at Hammermill Paper Company and was a devout member of St. Mark the Evangelist R.C. Church and served on its Action League. She was also a member of the Lawrence Park Garden Club. She was preceded in death in 2006 by her husband of 59 years, Daniel Noonan Murray, Jr., a native of Lake City, Fla., who retired from the Engineering Department at International Paper/Hammermill Paper in 1990; a brother, Michael Juhas, Jr.; and two sisters, Mary J. Juhas Murray Costello and Elizabeth A. JuhasPaszkowski. Survivors include her two daughters and their families: Rita Murray Fickenscher, her husband Donald, of Virginia Beach, and their sons and daughters-in-law: Ehren, who resides in Richmond, Ben and Bridget, who live in Virginia Beach and are the parents of three of Millie's great-grandchildren, Elliot, Maggie and Avery; and Ross and Alyson, who live in Richmond and are the parents of Millie's youngest great-granddaughter, Preston; and Patricia A. Murray and her son, Max, living in Pittsburgh, and daughter Emily, living in California. She is also survived by a sister, Barbara Kirk, in Florida; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Road on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and are invited to attend a Prayer Service there on Monday at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mark the Evangelist R.C.
