Albert Laser, age 79, of Erie, passed away on Friday, January 11, 2013. He was born in Erie on February 6, 1933, a son of the late Charles and Lora Laser. He graduated from Academy High School and went on to serve in the United States Army, during the Korean War. Albert worked for Marx Toys as an assembler and A. O. Smith as a welder. He was a member of Asbury United Methodist church and the Squaws and Paws Square Dancing Club. Albert enjoyed roller-skating, traveling and reading. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Zilla Laser, second wife Fern Laser, a son Scott Laser, a brother Richard Laser and a sister Grace Peelman. He is survived by a daughter Susan Schuschu, a daughter-in-law Laura Laser, a son-in-law Richard Schuschu, seven grandchildren, Jason and Megan Schuschu, and Patrick, Sarah, Kathryn, Jessica and Rebecca Laser; a nephew Dale Peelman; five stepchildren, Victoria Derby (Kevin), Teresa Lombardozzi (Daniel), Rebecca Jones (Dennis), Calvin Jude (Tammy) and Jeffrey Jude (Susan); and many step-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 W. 26th Street (at Powell Ave), on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m., and are invited to attend a service there on Monday at 11:00 a.m., with Rev.
