Richard F. Dombrowski, 75, of Erie, passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at UPMC Hamot. He was born October 15, 1937, in Erie, Pa., son of the late Ferdinand A, and Irene (Sokolowski) Dombrowski. He attended Cathedral Prep High School. He worked for Uniflo Manufacturing for 27 years. He was a member of the Siebenbuerger Club. He enjoyed reading, music and spending time with family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He had a great love of children. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Kathy Dombrowski, a brother, Leonard Dombrowski and a special grandmother and godmother, Martha Sokolowski. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Beverly (Denning) Dombrowski, a son, Richard Dunbar (Char) of Groshen, Ky., a son, Barry Dombrowski (Karie) of Aurora, Colo., a daughter, Debora Stubits (Greg) of Erie, a daughter, Bonnie Merritt and partner Denny of Erie, son, Stephen Dombrowski and partner, Debbie, of Lake City, Pa., a son Gary Dombrowski (Julie) of Erie; three brothers, Robert Dombrowski, Michael Dombrowski, Jeff Dombrowski (Brenda) all of Erie; two sisters, Christine Watts of Erie, Cindy Riefstahl (Robert) of North East, Pa., and a sister-in-law, Nancy Dombrowski of Erie. Also survived by 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Friends and relative may call at the Edward J. Garr Funeral Home, Inc., 459 East 12th Street, Erie, PA 16503 on Friday, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Services will be at the funeral home on Saturday, at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Church. Entombment will be in Calvary Mausoleum East. Memorials may be made to St. Stanislaus Church, 516 East 13th Street, Erie, PA 16503.
