Mary Jane Bezkorovan Dvorak, age 96, passed into the arms of her loving Lord on Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at Brevillier Village. She was born in Cleveland,Ohio on August 4, 1916, daughter of the late Peter and Mary JakupcaBezkorovan. Mary had been a resident of Pennsylvania since 1951. She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy R.C. Church where she had formerly been a religious education teacher from 1964 until she retired in 1992. She was awarded the Terry Plumb Catechist of the Year award. She was honored for her outstanding contributions to religious education. Mary was very passionate in her love of helping children learn of Our Lord. She was a member of the Erie Cursillo Movement and the Christian Family Movement. In addition to her parents Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard after 61 years of marriage; her son Louis Dvorak; two sisters, Sophie Sites and Ann Jelen; and two brothers, Alex Fresenko and Harry Bezkorovan. Survivors include five daughters, Carole Peters (Lewis) of Harborcreek, Mary Rizzo (Dennis) of Lawrence Park, Bernadette Agresti of Erie, Michelle Williams (Edward) of Franklinton, N.C. and Kathleen Pietron (John) of Roanoke, Va.; three sons, Bernard "Yanni" Dvorak (Linda "Maria") of Mesa, Ariz., Richard Dvorak of Richmond, Va. and James Dvorak of Harborcreek; 23 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; 27 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at Our Lady of Mercy R.C. Church on Saturday from 10:15 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass there at 11 a.m. Interment, St. Gregory Cemetery.
