Susan Policano, age 68, of Fairview Township, died at UPMC Hamot, Saturday, January 19, 2013. Born in Buffalo, N.Y., November 18, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Russell P. and Charlotte A. (Forrester) Stolburg. She was a coordinator for the Erie Youth Soccer Association for many years and was an active mother and grandmother. She was a volunteer at St. John the Evangelist Church, in Girard, for many years. She had been a teller at Marine Bank and National City Bank. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Woody and James Stolburg. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Albert Policano, of Fairview; five children, Albert Policano, of Pittsburgh, Jennifer Ellis, of Atlanta, Ga., Daniel Policano, wife Nicole, of Pittsburgh, Julie Policano, of Dayton, Ohio and Robert Policano, wife Dragana, of Chicago, Ill.; nine grandchildren; a brother, Charles Stolburg, wife Fran, of Erie; and several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to call at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 West 38th Street at Greengarden Boulevard, Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 until the time of a funeral service at 8 p.m., with Rev. John Detisch officiating. Further visitation will be held Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. Private burial will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
