Arthur "Art" J. Mohr, 87 of Lake City, Pa., died Monday, January 21, 2013 at home, surrounded by his immediate family. He was born on May 23, 1925 in Girard Pa., the youngest child of the late John and Jennie Mosher Mohr. After his education at Girard Rice Avenue High School, Art opened a Sunoco Gas station in Springfield, Pa. He worked at North Girard Concrete Works and also at Robertson's Kitchens as a woodworker. He later worked at Bucyrus-Erie Corp. and retired from Reed Mfg. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who spent many hours at home taking care of his family. Art was a member of the Lake City Presbyterian Church, and the American Kennel Club. He bred, trained and showed collies at dog shows. He also enjoyed carpentry and woodworking. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Evelyn Hathaway, and his three brothers, Charles, Richard and Donald Mohr. Art will be missed by his wife, Sue R. (Richardson) Mohr, whom he married on November 27,1948 in Girard, Pa.; his four daughters, Marilyn L. Ferringer and her husband Ronald of Fairview, Suzanne E. Mohr of Long Island, N.Y., Marjorie J. Randall and her husband Bert of Girard, and Mitzi L. Mohr-Foote and her husband James of Colorado Springs, Colo.; his son, Gary A. Mohr, M.D. and his wife Chris of Westcliffe, Colo.; his sisters, Leta Belanger of Girard and Agnes Blood of Girard; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. There were no public calling hours observed. Services were privately held by the family with Pastor Charles Cammarata officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mr. Mohr's name to West County Paramedic Association, 6852 Meadville Rd., Girard, PA 16417. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Daniel R.
