Robert L. Kaeberlein, age 73, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013. He was born in Erie on Sept. 15, 1939. He was the son of the late Fred P. and Ethel M. Kaeberlein. He lived most of his life in Seattle, Wash. Bob, was a 1957 graduate of Academy High School and a member of its marching band. He served with honor in the United States Navy and Army Reserves. He was trained and worked as a radio broadcaster in Milwaukee, Wis., and in Erie as a disc jockey (Rob Lawrence) and news director at WWGO radio in the late 60's. He relocated to Seattle in 1973 and spent the majority of his adult life working for the U.S. Postal service as a letter carrier and supervisor. Following his retirement, he enjoyed working as a driver for Enterprise Car Rental and a volunteer driver for senior citizens. Bob is survived by his loving partner Peng Chau, his sons Matt (Tammi) Kaeberlein and David Kaeberlein of Seattle, his daughter Roberta (Louis) De Francesco of Georgia and his stepsons, Seng (Jennifer) Thor and Johnny (Tatiana) Chau of Seattle. He is also survived by his sisters, Betty (George) Dietrich of Edinboro, Sue (Bill) Hollenbeck of Erie, his brothers Bill and his late wife Janet Kaeberlein of Zephyrhills, Fla., Fred (Kay) Kaeberlein of Erie and Daniel (Peggy ) Kaeberlein of Edinboro and his grandchildren Connor and Jase Kaeberlein of Seattle. Bob will be laid to rest at the Evergreen Washelli Cemetery in Seattle.
