Florence V. Dellecese Flamio Horstman, 85, died peacefully on Sunday February 10, 2013. She was born on April 29, 1927 in Erie a daughter of the late Joseph and Adeline Pastorie Dellecese. She graduated from St. Benedicts Academy and attended Villa Marie College and Erie Business Center. She is survived by her husband Herman whom she was very active with. Along with her husband, who was construction coordinator for Habitat for Humanity under the direction of President Jimmy Carter, she worked with President Carter and Roslyn Carter in dietary and food preparations while in Booklyn, N.Y., feeding over 2500 volunteers. She also spent seven years in the Erie School District as an assistant reading specialist and was a member of the Siebenbuerger Singing Society. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her fist husband, Anthony Flamio and two brothers, Joseph Jr. and Anthony Dellecese. In addition to her husband survivors include her two sons, Stephen Flamio and his wife Penny and John Flamio; three daughters Rosella Flamio-Miller and her husband Paul, Victoria Flamio-Butchkoskey and her husband Frank, Annette Flamio-Milano and her husband Michael; three stepchildren, Robert Horstman and his wife Janice, James Horstman and his wife Diane, and John Horstman of Las Vegas, Nev.; 12 grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Road, on Tuesday from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to services there on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
