Betty Jane Culp Rose, age 88, of North East died Monday, February 11, 2013 at UPMC Hamot. She was born on July 9, 1924 in Elgin, Pa. to the late Rollie D. and Sydney Marie Sellen Culp. Betty was formerly employed at Welch's Food, Hamot Hospital and Hallie Brothers and was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church in North East. She enjoyed ceramics, tole painting, and gardening. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by husband Harold F. Rose January 6, 2012; son, Thomas Rose; grandson, Todd Ballew; and sisters. She is survived by son, Terry Rose and wife Trudy; daughters, Debbie Esterline and husband Jerry, Sharon Toy and husband Russ, Gale Boyd and husband Ed; grandchildren, Terry Lee Rose II and wife Lisa, Toby Rose, Wendy Denning and husband Terry, Kimberly Gonzalez and husband Jacob, Troy Ballew and fiancé Dezsiree, Shawna Christopher and husband Lou, Corrie Boyd and wife Katie, Adam Boyd and wife Becky, Tammy Barnett and husband Dan, Tom Ballew and wife Vickie, Ted Ballew and Tim Ballew; many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Thursday 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a funeral service on Friday at 1 p.m. at the Christian Missionary Alliance Church, 81 East Main St., North East.
