James C. Wilbur, 68, of Millcreek, passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at home. He was born on May 1, 1944, to the late Charles A. and Elaine Lehr Wilbur. James was a graduate of Academy High School, in 1962. Following high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. He was later deployed to Vietnam, in 1967, stationed in Saigon, where he worked in the postal department. Upon his discharge from the military, he went back to work for National Cash Register Co., American Business Machines, and most recently the IRS, as a Revenue Officer, where he would retire. James was a member of the Harborcreek United Methodist Church, as well at the Disabled Veterans of American and a Life Member at the VFW Post #470. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, and a brother Charles "Chas" Wilbur, in 2000. James is survived by his wife, Janice Mischler Trick Wilbur, whom he married on December 27, 2001; his two daughters, Lauren and Lindsay, both of Erie; two sons, Daniel Wilbur and his wife Roberta of Fairview, and Douglas Wilbur of Fairview; a sister, Linda Carlson and her husband Philip of Union City; a brother, Mark Wilbur and his wife Debbie of Erie; seven grandchildren, Kristy, Katie, Tyler, Zebediah, Hayden, Ryelee and Autumn; and four great-grandchildren, Kallie, Kyler, Reese, and Eragon. Also surviving him are his six stepchildren, Lawrence Trick, Brenda Hatcher, Faron Trick, Tammy Norwood, Kristen Laws and Brian Trick; and 11 step-grandchildren, David, Cody, Sullivan, Chamberlain, Dylan, Grace, Melissa, Jonah, Aiden, Alex and Avery. Friends may call today, Friday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Edder Funeral Home Inc., 309 Main St. East, Girard. Funeral services will be held there on Saturday at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Girard Cemetery.
