Nancy Rose Cuzzola, age 93, of Erie passed away Thursday, February 21, 2013 at St. Mary's at Asbury Ridge. She was born December 16, 1919 in Franklin, Pa. the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Casella Cuzzola. Nancy was a graduate of Sacred Heart School in Franklin and worked for forty years at Erie Resistor and later Erie Technology. She was an active member of St. George Church Altar Society for many years, and later joined St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church where she was a member of their Prayer Line. She was an avid reader and loved spending time in the local libraries. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers; Patsy and Anthony "Nino" Cuzzola and by two sisters, Anne Cherico and Margaret Surace. Nancy is survived by three sisters; Josephine Cuzzola with whom she made her home, Carme Barbato, and Frances Letterio and her husband John along with two brothers, Angelo Cuzzola and his wife Donna and Dr. Joseph Cuzzola and his wife Anne. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, and grandnieces and grandnephews. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Mary's at Asbury Ridge for their loving care and a special thank you to Kathy Macrino for being such a wonderful caregiver to Nancy over the last four years. Thanks also to VNA Hospice for their care and support to Nancy and her family. Friends are invited to call at the John J. Quinn Funeral Home, West 9th & Liberty St. Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and are invited to attend Prayer Services there Monday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Jude Catholic Church.
