Annie F. Hesketh DiFranco Brammer, 89, of Erie, passed away Monday March 18, 2013 at her residence following an extended illness. She was born in Liverpool, England on July 27, 1923 a daughter of the late Robert and Annie Garrett Hesketh. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, William Hesketh and a beloved uncle, George Garrett. Survivors include four daughters, Annette Stanislaw and her husband Kenneth of Youngstown, Ohio, Kathy Bogdeweicz and her husband George of Castle Rock, Colo., Gwendolyn Harle and her husband Michael of Corrales, N.M., and Rosalind Pietras and her husband Timothy of North East, Pa.; one son, Ian DiFranco and his wife Jennifer of Rowlett, Texas; 11 grandchildren; four half-brothers, Frank Hesketh of N. Queens, Australia, Stanley Hesketh and his wife Theresa of Wigan, England, John Hesketh and his wife Patricia of Wigan, England, Geoff Hesketh and his wife Ann of Ashton in Makerfield, England; three half-sisters, Patricia Walsh of Liverpool, England, Marie Ashcroft and her husband John of Birkenhead, England and Jean Rix and her husband Peter of Warrington, England; many nieces, nephews and her devoted caregivers Cindy Dunham and Jessica Hoover of Home Instead Senior Care. Funeral arrangements were made by the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Road, Erie, PA 16504. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
