Donald W. Fox Obituary
Donald W. Fox, 83, of Waterford, died Sunday morning, March 24, 2013 at Edinboro Manor following a brief illness. A resident of the Erie area all of his life he was born in Waterford on October 30, 1929 a son of the late Clarence and Nellie Hess Fox. Donald originally worked with Marathon Electric and went on to work with Ken Green Construction. He was co-owner of Kindling, Fox and Fox Construction before retiring in 1993. He was a member of the Tuesday Night Bowling League, the Brothers Bowling League and the Moose Club in Union City. He enjoyed square dancing, hunting, and spending time at his hunting camp in Chapman's Dam. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Delbert, Clarence Jr., and Wallace Fox. Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Kathleen "Kazzy" Chapman Fox; one son, Marc Polohonki of Waterford; six brothers, Virgil Fox and his wife Barbara of Erie, Paul Fox and his wife Susie of Waterford, Richard Fox and his wife Eleanor of McKean, Robert Fox and his wife Dolores of Waterford, Ted Fox of Waterford and Larry Fox and his wife Rosalyn of Waterford; two sisters, Betty Showman and her husband Raymond of Edinboro and Sally Hayes and her husband Lyle "Sonny" of Ashtabula, Ohio; two sisters in law, Lorraine Fox of Waterford and Rose Fox of Erie; and many nieces and nephews. Friend may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home, Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Road, on Tuesday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.. A funeral service will be held there Thursday morning at 10 a.m. and burial will follow in Waterford Cemetery.
