Richard Lewis Goodwill Obituary
Richard Lewis Goodwill, 79, of Pinegrove Way, Erie, Pa., and formerly of North Warren, Pa., passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Goodwill was born May 7, 1933, in Warren, Pa., the son of the late Paul and Margaret Carlson Goodwill. Richard was an insurance salesman for many years, from which he retired. He enjoyed boating, camping and water skiing. In more recent years, he enjoyed traveling, spending winters in Florida and shopping with his wife Julie. He was an avid card player in the 500 Club, at the Senior Center. Most importantly, Richard was a loving father and husband. He truly cherished the time he spent with his family at picnics and reunions. He is survived by his wife, Julie Goodwill, Erie, Pa., whom he married on October 25, 1997, in Warren, Pa.; four children, Priscilla Snyder and husband Tom, Youngsville, Pa., Richard Goodwill, Jamestown, N.Y., Victoria Powell and husband Allan, Bemus Point, N.Y. and Brenda Passmore and husband Ted, Warren, Pa.; two stepsons, Christopher Jankovich and wife Kris, Egg Harbor Township, N.J. and Jonathon Jankovich and wife Gwen, Bradenton, Fla.; fourteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Lorraine Fitzpatrick Goodwill and his siblings, P. Robert Goodwill and Sandra Hixon. Friends will be received at the Peterson - Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penn Ave., E., Warren, on Thursday, April 4, 2013 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., at which time a funeral service will be held there, with Rev. Jonathon Jankovich officiating. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery.
