Richard S. Gaber, age 86, of Waterford, passed away May 1, 2013 at Millcreek Community Hospital, ACE unit. He was born in Erie on January 6, 1927 a son of the late George and Sara Fleischer Gaber. He served in the Army during the Korean conflict. He retired as a Carpenter after 40 years and was a member of the Carpenter's Local 81. He was a member of All Saints Parish and enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming, woodworking and helping the Amish Community. He was preceded in death by a sister, Sarah Brown and eight brothers, George, Gustave, William, Herman, Henry, Rudolph, Albert and Walter Gaber. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Bayhurst Gaber, three daughters, Elizabeth and Caroline Gaber of Waterford and Barbara Gaber (William Rosenthal) of Albion, a son, Richard Gaber of Waterford, a brother, Karl Gaber and a sister-in-law, Eleanor Gaber. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Friends may call on Sunday at the Francis V.
