Glen Artlip, age 52, of Maryland, formerly of North East died suddenly on January 3, 2013 at Holy Cross Hospital, Silver Springs, Md., due to a pulmonary embolism. He was born on November 25, 1960 in Erie, Pa. to the late Gordon Artlip (2012) and Margaret "Peggy" Artlip (1994). Glen graduated from North East High School and Erie County Vo-Tech School in 1979. In the early 1980s he moved to Maryland and has worked in the sheet metal and construction trades. Glen is survived by his sisters, Linda Morey (Steve) and Pamela Artlip; nephews, Timothy Morey & Chris Rupp; niece, Holly Rupp, all of North Carolina. Friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Monday at 12 noon until the time of a memorial service at 2 p.m., at the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Bob Klecan.
