AM3 Brian Scott Workman, 23, of Norfolk, Va. died on Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013.
He was born in Erie, Pa. on December 20, 1989, the son Brian Scott Workman, Pottstown, Pa. and Debra Lee Savidge, Delanco, N.J.
Brian was a graduate of Upper Perokieon High School, East Greenville, Pa., and he then graduated from Western Center for Technical Studies in Limerick, Pa., where he earned two degrees. He joined the U.S. Navy
and was serving with Helicopter Anti-submarine Squadron 5 in Norfolk, Va.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Oliver 'Pops' Workman, and his maternal grandmother, Marie Morlino.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Janean Edginton, Ewing, N.J.; paternal grandmother, Ethel Workman, Albion; maternal great-grandmother, Jenny O'Mally; two aunts, Deanna Savidge, New Jersey and Terry (Randy) Burtt, Kingsville, Ohio and an uncle, Gregg (Karen) Workman, Conneaut, Ohio. He is also survived by several cousins.
Friends may call at the Mattera Funeral Home, 188 East State Street, Albion, on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. and may attend a funeral service there on Friday at 10 a.m.
Interment will follow in Springfield Cemetery, East Springfield, Pa., with full military honors.
