Robert William Tobin, age 83, of Lawrence Park, passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2013. He was born in Erie on June 25, 1930, son of the late Roscoe and Lillian Tobin.

Bob was a truck driver with Coyne Industrial Laundry for over 25 years, retiring in 1990. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving in the Korean War. Bob was a member of American Legion Carl Neff Post #571. He drove stock cars at Eriez Speedway for many years, and was a fan of NASCAR and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Jody Marie Tobin; one brother, Richard Tobin; and two grandsons, Jefferson and Christopher. He is survived by five children, Kimberly Burr (Jeff) of Belfast, N.Y., Kari Nicholl (Brian) of Harborcreek, Pa., Kelly Volk (Steve) of Harborcreek, Pa., Kristy Tobin-Tafelski of Chandler, Ariz. and Robert W. Tobin II of Wesleyville, Pa. He is also survived by three brothers, Ronald, James (Marilyn) and Dennis Tobin; two sisters, Jean Goldsby and Cheryl Baransky (Don); seven grandchildren Kyle, Megan, Amanda, Nicholas, Ashleigh, Robert and Maille Jo; three great-grandchildren, Ciara, Roman and Lucy; several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Road on Friday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a Funeral Service there on Saturday at 11 a.m. conducted by Rev. David Turner. A full military service will follow at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery conducted by American Legion Carl Neff Post #571. Memorial contributions may be made to a .
