He was born in Carnegie, Pa. on May 30, 1915. Glenn had two brothers, Harold and Edward, and one sister Olive. He was a graduate of Langley High School and Carnegie Institute of Technology (now Carnegie Mellon University) where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering.

While a student at Carnegie Institute, Glenn worked full time for the American Cyanamid Corporation as a chemist. Upon his graduation in 1941, he joined The Koppers Company in Pittsburgh, Pa. as a chemical engineer. After serving in several key positions, Glenn was appointed plant engineer for the Petrolia, Pa. facility in 1957. During his time with Koppers, Glenn oversaw several major expansion projects at the facility. He worked for Koppers until his retirement in 1980.

Glenn enjoyed fishing, many social activities and was an avid golfer. At the time of his death, he was the oldest member of the Butler Country Club. Glenn was also a long time member of the Butler Rotary Club and St. Peters Episcopal Church in Butler. In retirement Glenn delivered Meals on Wheels for many years prior to his relocation to Erie in 2007.

Glenn is survived by his son John and daughter-in-law Karen of Erie and their daughters Betsy Evans of Alexandria, Va. and Katy Evans of New Orleans, La. His granddaughters were the apple of Glenn's eye.
