Andrew (Andy) Paul Coffey, age 48, of North East, died on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at UPMC Shadyside Pittsburgh. He was born February 18, 1965 in Grand Forks, N.D. to Helen Henstein Coffey of Oregon and the late John Coffey.
Andy graduated from Walker High School in Walker, Minn. He then received his degree in Agricultural Science from the University of Wisconsin-Rivers Falls and then received his Masters Degree in Business Administration from Walsh University and his PhD from Walden University in Business Administration.
Andy was presently a college professor at St. Leo University in St. Leo, Fla.
He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose
Lodge in North East. Andy was a life long learner. He enjoyed fishing, wood carving, and illustrating. Andy loved spending time with his family and friends.
Andy is survived by his wife of 24 years, Cynthia Dahlgren Coffey, married August 26, 1989; a son: Zachary James Coffey of Winona, Minn.; daughters: Kayla Christine Coffey and Emily Del Coffey, both of North East; grandson: Charlie Andrew Coffey; brothers: Jack Coffey (Dawn) of Oregon and Jim Coffey of Va.; sister: Christine Fay (Mark) of Oregon.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Sunday at 5:00 p.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 1500 Freeport Rd., North East, Pa.
