Donald R. Weiss, 59, of Claremont, California, passed away February 6, 2014.
He was born in Erie, Pennsylvania, on May 8, 1954 to the late Harold and Emily Weiss. Donald graduated from McDowell High School and Gannon University with a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering. He was married to Catherine Weiss on November 18, 2006.
Donald was an Engineering Manager and worked in over 47 countries. He was very proud of his contribution to the design and manufacturing of various medical devices.
Donald loved to vacation in tropical locations, He took numerous trips to Hawaii with his wife Catherine, where they enjoyed the local food, culture and water activities.
Donald is survived by his wife Catherine of Claremont, California, three children: Cassie and Steve Sanchez of Victorville; Amanda Weiss of Oakland and Jason Gross of Claremont. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Akane and Kaeden Sanchez. He is also survived by his sister Judy Lacey, and many nieces, nephews and cousins in Erie, Pa.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to your favorite children's organization or cancer research program.
A memorial Service will be held February 13th at 6 p.m., at the Todd Memorial Chapel in Claremont, California.
He was loved and will be missed by many.
