Richard C. "Dick" Menosky, age 87, of Erie, passed away Friday, February 7, 2014 at the Erie VA Medical Center. He was born August 15, 1926 in Erie, a son of the late William and Mary (Gulish) Menosky.

Dick served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII. He ran the body shop at Dailey Chevrolet, was an insurance adjuster with Nationwide Insurance Co., and worked part time at Ras Auto Body. He was a member of St. George Church, a life member of the Erie Mannerchor Club, and he enjoyed woodworking and golfing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Jill Marie Menosky; two sisters, Frances Lucas and Adeline Babulak; and two brothers, William and Frank Menosky.

Dick is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joan (Sosnowski) Menosky; a daughter, Laurie Holmwood (Michael) of Edinboro ; a son, Mark Menosky (Linda) of Melbourne, Fla.; a granddaughter, Amanda Collins of Edinboro, and several nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 West 38th Street at Greengarden Boulevard, on Tuesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m., and are invited to a prayer service there on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at St. George Church at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Mausoleum.
