James J. Spinelli, 58, of Erie, passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2014, at Presque Isle Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Erie on November 11, 1955, son of the late Armand and Lillian (Bruger) Spinelli.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Kevin Spinelli and a nephew David Spinelli.

He graduated from East High School and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a member of the Sunflower Club and the Moniuszko Club. He enjoyed fishing and Myrtle Beach. He was a die hard Cleveland Browns fan, just kidding, he was a die hard Steelers Fan. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and attending Seawolves games.

He is survived by one son, Dominic Spinelli (Dina Alekseenko) of Anderson, South Carolina; one daughter, Cassandra Ferra (Daniel) of Erie; two stepsons, Corey and David Goodwill; brothers, John Agnello (Rita), David Spinelli (Sandy), and Ronald Spinelli (Raeleen); sisters, Sandra Arble and Karen Rycek (Ronald), all of Erie. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and friends.

Relatives and friends may call on Sunday, April 13, 2014 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., at the Edward J. Garr Funeral Home, Inc., 459 East 12th Street, Erie, PA 16503. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. Burial will be private.
