Harry Romanski, age 84, of Erie, passed away Saturday, July 5, 2014, at the Golden Living Center - Walnut Creek. He was born on November 19, 1929, in Erie, the son of the late Peter and Victoria Piotrowicz Romanski.

Harry had served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, and for over 25 years had been associated with the Erie Boys Club, as their physical fitness director. There, he had the opportunity to work with and train many of Erie's young, outstanding athletes. He was known by many as "Mr. Boy's Club." Harry also enjoyed golf, bowling, and horseshoes, and was a member of the Cascade Club, South Erie Turners, and Billy Simpson VFW Post 470. He had attended St. Andrew Catholic Church.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Victoria Santos Romanski; a son, Mark E. Cipriani; a brother, Ray Romanski; and a sister, Victoria Sadlier.

Harry is survived by his three children, Victoria Schwindt and her husband, Gary, Barbara Roberts and her husband, Brad, and Antony Cipriani, all of Erie. He is the brother of Ronald Romanski and his wife, Judy of Erie, Peter Romanski and his wife, Sue of Erie, Jim Romanski and his wife, Karen of Florida, Dorothy Komorek of Erie, and Dolly Yezzi of Jamestown, N.Y. Also surviving are six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John J. Quinn Funeral Home, West 9th and Liberty St., Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., and are invited to attend Prayer Services there Friday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m., in St. Andrew Catholic Church.
