Leonard Grabinski Obituary


Leonard Alex Grabinski, 85, of Erie, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at UPMC Hamot. He was born October 7, 1929, in Erie, son of the late Stanley and Gladys (Zbikowska) Grabinski.

He was Past Commander American Legion Post 771. He retired from the U.S. Army where he served in the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He graduated from East High School. He is survived by three children, Paul and John Grabinski, and Donna Larson; five grandchildren, Devon, Chivon, Lou, Joe, and Kathy; and six great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley R. Grabinski in 2013; a son, Michael Grabinski; and several brothers and sisters.

Relatives and friends may call at the Edward J. Garr Funeral Home, Inc., 459 East 12th Street, Erie, PA 16503, on Monday, from 6 to 8 p.m.
