Dean Bartos Obituary
Dean Matthew Bartos, 48, of Erie, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at his residence, following a brief illness.
He was born on June 3, 1967, in Erie, a son of Donald Bartos and the late Loretta (Bugaj) Bartos.
He was employed as a car detailer at various car dealerships throughout Erie. He was an avid Pittsburgh Penguins, Steelers, NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt, Sr. fan, and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Besides his father, he is survived by his beloved aunt, Luella Bartos of Erie; sister, Lydia (Danie) VanBenthuysen of Kissimmee, Fla.; brothers, Keith (Lyn) Bartos and John (Jeanne) Bartos, all of Erie; nieces, Loni VanBenthuysen of Kissimmee, Fla. and Loretta (Jason) Landis; nephew, Jed Bartos; and great-nephew, his little buddy, Danny Landis.
Friends may call at the Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, Pine Avenue Branch, 845 East 38th St., on Friday from 3:00 until the time of a funeral service at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. John Malthaner, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Belle Valley Fire Department, 1514 Norcross Rd., Erie, PA 16510, or a charity of one's choice.
