Doris Chilcott Obituary
Doris M. Chilcott, age 89, of Erie, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2016. She was born in Erie on February 9, 1927, daughter of the late William and Dorothy Wright.
Doris was employed as a secretary for General Electric for 40 years prior to her retirement. She was a member of Mount Calvary R.C. Church, Siebenbuerger Auxiliary, and G.E. Quarter Century. She was an avid shopper and was very proud of her children and grandchildren.
Doris is survived by two children, Diane Dishinger (Norb) and William Chilcott (Jane); one brother, William J. Wright (Carol); three grandchildren, Ryan (Kerrie), Shane (Stefanie), and Kyle (Samantha) Kline; five great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Chilcott.
Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, 2607 Buffalo Rd., on Tuesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m., and are invited to attend a Prayer Service there on Wednesday at 8:45 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. at Mount Calvary R.C. Church. Interment, St. Gregory Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the A.N.N.A. Shelter, 1555 E. 10th St., Erie, PA 16511.

Bil and Carol, I am very sad for you due to the loss of your loved one, Doris. I first met Doris in the mid 1950's, when I became friends with you, Bill, at Edinboro State Teachers College. I also got to know Doris' and Bill's mom and dad and loved the weekend visits on the family boat. It is nice to know that our friendship continues today even though we are miles apart.

My mom and I give our condolences to Billy and DeeDee. Aunt Doris was a great person. I have a lot of good memories of her and Gene playing cards, drinking Manhattans, etc. with my mom and dad (Edna and Curt Chilcott). She will be missed.
