Edwin R. McAdoo

Edwin R. McAdoo, 84, of South Beaver Township, went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 2, 2016 in Good Samaritan Hospice. Born December 21, 1931 in Emeigh, Pa., he was the son of the late Robert and Hester Jacoby McAdoo.

He had been the superintendent of the Finishing Department of Babcock & Wilcox Tubular Products Company for 31 ½ years. He had been the head coach of the Chippewa Little Indians football team and had also been active in Junior Achievement.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sons, James Edwin McAdoo in 1954 and Larry Alan McAdoo in 1965, and two brothers, Robert McAdoo and Donald McAdoo.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Ona "Annette" Miller McAdoo, three sons and daughters-in-law, John and Joyce McAdoo, West Mayfield, Ronald and Nancy McAdoo, Maryland, Brian and Michele McAdoo, Cranberry Township, a daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Rick Bedilion, Chippewa Township, 10 grandchildren, Jonelle Zinsmaster, Janna McAdoo, David McAdoo, Scott McAdoo, Kristen McAdoo, Alexa Mercure, Melissa Mercure, Ryan Mercure, Emily McAdoo, Katie McAdoo, six great-grandchildren, Taylor Thomas, Keira Mercure, Brian Zinsmaster, Landon Zinsmaster, Malia Mercure, Garrett McAdoo, and a sister, Imogene Wilson, North East, PA.

Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Hill & Kunselman Funeral Home, www.hillandkunselman.com., 3801 Fourth Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls. There will be an additional visitation on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. in the New Brighton Church of the Nazarene, 423 Penn Avenue, New Brighton, with Pastor Donald W. MacNeil officiating.

Interment will be in North East Cemetery on Thursday at noon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made, if desired, to Church of the Nazarene, 423 Penn Avenue, New Brighton, PA 15066.

The Veterans Honor Guard will meet at the church on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. to conduct full military honors.
