Cynthia A. Hoffner, 74, of Wind Gap, passed away peacefully at her residence on Monday, Feb. 4, 2019, surrounded by her family.
She was the wife of the late Henry W. Hoffner, with whom she shared 46 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2013.
Born in Easton on May 27, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Norman D. Sr. and Elaine M. (Tucker) Mackes. Cindy was a graduate of Nazareth High School, class of 1962, and also attended the former Empire Beauty School, Easton.
A member of the International Ladies' Garment Workers' Union, she worked as a sewing machine operator for several years before retiring. Cindy enjoyed crocheting, playing bingo, and camping.
She was a member of the Bath Social Hall, the Ladies' Auxiliary of 2nd Ward Fire Co., Bangor, and Bushkill United Methodist Church.
Cindy is survived by her loving daughter, Lisa Wheeler and her husband, James, of Wind Gap; sons, Todd Hoffner and his wife, Trudy, of Bath, and Scott Hoffner of Allentown; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Linda Dempsey of Nazareth; nieces and nephews. In addition to her late husband, Henry, she was predeceased by her brother, Norman D. Mackes Jr.
Services are private at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the George G. Bensing Funeral Home, Inc., Village of Moorestown -Bath.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be offered in memory of Cindy to her family in care of the funeral home.

Lisa, Todd and Scott,
I am so sorry to hear of Aunt Cindy's passing. I know this is a hard time for you and know that she will be missed. Keep her memory alive by telling then stories.
I can say I have lots of memories that I talk about to this day...East Bangor was always fun. She is with Uncle Henry now and will watch over you.
