Funeral services for Edgar L. "Buck" White, 78, were held Wednesday, Jan. 2, at 1 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home Chapel.

The Rev. Gerald Caryl-Gordon officiated and burial followed in White Oak United Methodist Church Cemetery with Chapman Funeral Home of Eufaula directing. Mr. White died Sunday, Dec. 30, at Ft. Gaines Healthcare and Rehab in Ft. Gaines. Born Jan 17, 1934 in Henry County, he was the son of the late Arrie J. and Willie Mae Pippins White.
Mr. White attended Chester Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. His hobbies were hunting and fishing. He had farmed for more than 23 years in Barbour County. He owned and operated White's Grocery in Terese for several years. He had been a member of the Alabama National Guard.
Survivors include his wife, Bertha White of Eufaula; one son, Richard "Ladon" (Sherri) White of Eufaula; two granddaughters, Kaycie Ludlam and Kory Beth Ludlam both of Eufaula; several nieces and nephews.
Active pallbearers were Rusty Champion, Parker Champion, Saun Casey, Eddie Wayne Palmer, Charlie Price and Curtis Hillman.
