William Brown Harper was born on March 12, 1935 to the late Alvie and Gladys Harper in Brickyard. At an early age he confessed in Christ and joined the Providence Baptist Church in Columbus, Ga. Later he and his mother to moved to New York where he received his education. He served his nation proudly in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Korean War.

In 2005 he moved to Eufaula, and joined Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Georgetown, Ga. He was ordained a Deacon and served faithfully until his death.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son and one daughter.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife of 42 years, Iza Harper; seven daughters, Donna, Tara, Latoya, Raquell, Victoria, Queneke and Dawn, all of Trenton, N.J.; three sons, James (Lydia) Davis and Tyrone Hall, both of Trenton, N.J. and Terrance of Albany, Ga.; one sister, Linda Pinder of New York City, N.Y.; a special cousin, Nancy (Bob) Dilworth of Petersburg, Va.; two sisters-in-law, Thelma Johnson of Chicago, Ill. and Geraldine Henderson of Eufaula; two brothers-in-law, Willie C. Johnson of Lakeland, Fla. and Otha Johnson of Tuskegee; 30 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; four great, great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sympathizing friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 8, at 1 p.m. ECT at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Georgetown, Ga. with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 7, at Lewis Mortuary II in Georgetown, Ga. from 5:50 p.m. ECT until 8:30 p.m. ECT. This is according to Lewis Mortuary II in Georgetown.
