Anders, Charles H.  
HANOVER Mr. Charles "Charlie" Harry Anders, 64, formerly of Frederick, Md., passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, May 21, 2015, with his loving wife, Carol, by his side. Born in Frederick, Md., on February 2, 1951, he was the son of the late William A and Ruth N. Kline Anders. Charlie drove trucks for over 50 years of his life. He enjoyed watching old westerns and enjoyed trains in his spare time. He was a man who was willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, anytime, or anywhere. He was a very patriotic individual who considered his family and God very important in his daily life. He is survived by his daughter, Becky Wilkerson; sons, Bryan Anders and wife, Elizabeth, and Zachary Anders and wife, Kelsey. brother, Michael Anders and wife, Elizabeth of Frederick, Md.; sisters, Orpha Rice of Florida, and Jennifer Walter and husband, Joe of Florida; five grandchildren; his uncle, Paul, and aunt, Joyce Kline; uncle, Edgar (Butch), and aunt, Bonnie Kline; cousins, Donna Faye and Donnie Shiflet; in-laws, Bennard and Joan Slaybaugh; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, William (Billy) Anders and Earl Anders. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 25, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Chapel Mausoleum at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 Catoctin Mountain Highway, Frederick, Md., and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 26, at Meadowbranch Church of the Brethren, 818 Old Taneytown Road, Westminster, Md., where a funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. with Pastor Tom Richard officiating. Interment will follow in Meadowbranch Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Johns United Church of Christ, 8 N. 2nd St., Woodsboro, MD 21798; or Meadowbranch Church of the Brethren, 818 Old Taneytown Road, Westminster, MD 21157. Belinski, Mary G.  
EAST BERLIN Mary G. (Topper) Belinski, 85, of Lake Meade, died Friday, May 22, 2015, at her residence. She was the wife of Eugene L. Belinski, her husband of 57 years, who died on June 22, 2011. Mary was born April 30, 1930, in McSherrystown, the daughter of the late Curtis and Genevieve (Burkee) Topper. Mary was an accomplished Real Estate Broker and a loving and dear friend to all. Mary is survived by a daughter, Cheryl A. Richmond and her husband, James of Wyckoff, N.J.; a son, Gene C. Belinski of York; four grandchildren, Lisa Richmond of Ramsey, N.J., Lindsey Flagerty and her husband, Robert of Ramsey, N.J., John Richmond and his wife, Caitlin of Hawthorne, N.J., and Melissa Richmond of Wyckoff, N.J.; two great-grandchildren, Jack M. and Aubrey L. Richmond, both of Hawthorne, N.J.; two sisters, Joan Rancourt and her husband, Robert of Wallingford, Conn., and Edith Stone and her husband, James of Avoca, Mich.; one brother, Robert Topper and his wife, Juanita of Walpole, Maine; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Following cremation, a memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at 11 a.m. from St. Joseph's Church, 5055 Grandview Road, Hanover, with the Rev. James M. Lyons officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of family. There will be no viewing. Brandt, Robert E.  
HANOVER Robert E. Brandt, 82, entered the Church Triumphant on Monday, May 25, 2015, at Homewood at Plum Creek. A native of Phillips, Neb., he was born on Sunday, September 4, 1932. He received his bachelor's degree in Science Education from the University of Nebraska and later earned his master's degree in Adult Education from George Washington University. After successfully completing the ROTC program and upon his graduation from college in 1953, he was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army and was stationed at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds. He married Gladys Irene Wittwer in August 1954. Following his military service, he remained at Aberdeen as a civilian employee until his retirement in 1993. Mr. Brandt was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church and a former member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Aberdeen, Md. He was always active in the church communities in which he belonged and especially enjoyed singing in church choir. He was a member of the Aberdeen Lions Club and served as the chairman of the Harford County (MD) School District's School Concert Committee. He was an active member of the Harford County Fuel Fund and took pleasure in traveling, watching baseball and football, and listening to classical music. Survivors include his wife of nearly 61 years, Gladys W. Brandt; two daughters, Judith Aikens and her husband, William G. Aikens of Pittsburgh, and Janet Blackwell and her husband, Jeff of Bel Air, Md.; five grandchildren, William E. Aikens, Catherine Harris, Jennifer Aikens, Robert Blackwell, and Christopher Blackwell; and two great-grandsons, William T. Aikens and Jeffrey Robert Blackwell. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 29, 2015, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Hanover, with The Rev. Dr. Daniel M. Yeiser officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday in the church parlor. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 30, 2015, at Harford Memorial Gardens on Aldino Road in Aberdeen, Md., with The Rev. Edward Robbins officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Matthew Lutheran Church Organ Fund, 30 W. Chestnut St., Hanover, PA 17331; or to the American Cancer Society, 924-N. Ditch, Scott W.  
YORK Scott W. Ditch, 43, passed away suddenly on May 24, 2015 while vacationing in Maryland. He was the loving husband of Heather M. (Raby) Ditch. Together they shared over 16 years of marriage. Scott was born in Hanover on December 3, 1971. He graduated from Spring Grove High School class of 1990, where he was a member of the diving team that went to the state championships. When he was younger he played rink football for the Spring Grove Boys Club. He worked as a Field Service Engineer for Weir Minerals of Madison Wis. He loved riding his Harley and cherished his family and his bulldog Cooper. In addition to his wife, Heather, he is survived by his loving son, Seth W. Ditch; and daughter, Mykenzie A. Ditch; his father, Walter N. Ditch and wife, Pat of Mount Alto; and his sister, Michelle Ditch of Spring Grove; and his step-grandfather, Donald Yost. He is also survived by his niece, Samantha J. Raby; his nephew, Ethan Cramer; his brothers-in-law, Aaron Raby and Chris Raby; his step sister, Kara Kyle; and his mother-in-law, Cheryl Bjorum and husband, Erick. He was predeceased by his mother, Deborah A. (Tanner) Ditch in 1998. Following cremation, family and friends are invited to attend a gathering in celebration of his life on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. followed by a family tribute at 8 p.m. at Irwin-Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service Inc., 175 N Main St. Spring Grove. Dusman, Harold H.  
HANOVER Harold H. Dusman, 90, beloved husband of Darthea Becker Dusman, died on Friday, May 22, 2015, at Homewood at Plum Creek. Born on Sunday, September 21, 1924, in Hanover, he was a son of the late J.W. and Lettie Fuhrman Dusman. He graduated from Eichelberger High School in 1940 and was the owner of Harold H. Dusman Building, Remodeling and Electrical Service for 28 years, as well as the Walnut Street Auto Sales before his retirement. Harold was a member of St. Paul's (Dubs) United Church of Christ, where he had been active in the Sunday School and other church activities. A member of the Exchange Club of Hanover, he served as Past President in 1981 and was awarded the Exchangite of the Year in 1976. He also held memberships with the Hanover Elks BPOE #763, the York County Builders Association, and the Hanover Republican Club. In addition to his wife of nearly 67 years, he is survived by two sons, Paul Dusman and his wife, Dianne, and Alan Dusman and his wife, Amanda, all of Hanover; two daughters, Dianne Dusman and her husband, James Halterman of Wellsville, and Linda Dusman of Baltimore, Md.; seven grandchildren, David Dusman and his wife, Shari, Tyler Billingsley and his wife, Laurel, and Chelsea, Cameron, Elliana, Max, and Samuel Dusman; three great-grandchildren, Stefany, Tiffany, and Drew Dusman; and a brother, Harry Dusman and his wife, Lillian of Hanover. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Romaine Fuhrman and Ruth Bruce. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at St. Paul's (Dubs) United Church of Christ with The Rev. Larry M. Estepp officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at a viewing to be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover, and one hour prior to the service at the church. A Service of Remembrance by the Exchange Club of Hanover will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Ford, Jeffrey A.  
EAST BERLIN Jeffrey A. Ford, 52, went to be with his Savior and Lord on Sunday, May 24, 2015, at his residence. Jeffrey was born February 28, 1963, in Burderopp Park, England, the son of John A. and Peggyann (Smyser) Ford of East Berlin. Jeffrey was a member of Faith Christian Fellowship Church, East Berlin, where he was a Worship Leader and loved to work with the youth. Jeffery served his country as a Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force and was a graduate of the Lancaster Bible College. Waiting to join him, in addition to his parents, are a fiancee, Ruth E. Sheffer of Boiling Springs; three brothers, Richard L. Ford of East Berlin, Terry W. Ford and his wife, Tess of Wellsville, and Gregory P. Ford and his wife, Renee of Middletown, Del.; a niece, Zoe Ford, and a nephew, Benjamin Ford, both of Delaware; two uncles, Gary Ford of Lewisberry and Paul Ford of Duncannon; and numerous other aunts, uncles, and cousins. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2015, at 3 p.m. from the Faith Christian Fellowship Church, 760 Germany Road, East Berlin, with Pastor Greg L. Hench officiating. A private burial will be at the convenience of the family.There will be no viewing, however the family will receive friends at the church from 2:30 p.m. until the time of the service. HANOVER Marie A. Gebhart, 84, entered into God's eternal care on Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at the Hanover Hospital. She was the wife of William H. Gebhart, to whom she was married 40 years. Born November 6, 1930, in Adams County, she was the daughter of the late Albert J. and Mary Jane (Gebhart) Noel. Marie was a member of Sacred Heart Basilica, Edgegrove, and was a 1949 graduate of Delone Catholic High School in McSherrystown. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a niece, Jo Ann Smith of New Oxford; and a nephew, Frank McDannell of Hanover. She was preceded in death by two siblings, Joseph Noel and Catherine McDannell. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 29, 2015, at Sacred Heart Basilica with the Rev. James E. Lease as celebrant. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Horwedel, Joyce A.  
BRUSHTOWN Joyce A. Horwedel, 76, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at her home. She was the wife of Charles G. "Herb" Horwedel who died October 23, 2014. Born April 19, 1939, in Hanover, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Jane (Snyder) Trimmer. Joyce was a 1957 graduate of Eichelberger High School, Hanover. She enjoyed playing cards and especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandson. Surviving are two children, Stacy Little and her husband, Larry of Brushtown and Charles G. "Chuck" Horwedel II and his companion, Kelly Docimo of McSherrystown; four grandchildren, Charles G. Horwedel III, Cassandra Horwedel, Brittany Snyder and Brian Little; and one great-grandson, Marcus Glacken. She was preceded in death by a sister, Yvonne Trimmer. Hughes, Howard E.  
II NEW OXFORD Howard E. "Howie" Hughes II., 26, entered into God's eternal care Monday, May 25, 2015 as the result of a car crash on May 16, 2015. Born February 15, 1989 in Gettysburg, he was the son of Howard E. and Christina M. (Zinn) Hughes. Howie was a 2008 graduate of New Oxford High School and was employed at Quality Finish Services of East Berlin. He enjoyed camping, the races, his many friends and life to its fullest. Surviving, in addition to his parents, is a sister, Katie Hughes of New Oxford. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and, again, his many friends. Howie was preceded in death by a sister, Leslie Lynn Hughes. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Murphy Funeral Home, 501 Ridge Ave., McSherrystown, with Pastor Craig Arentz officiating. Burial will follow at Annunciation Cemetery. Friends and family will be received on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be Joe Reilly, Brandon Henson, Andrew Heintzelman, Jerry Heasley, Josh Wheeler and Cody Smith.
