Amy R. Miller

HANOVER Amy R. Miller, 23, entered into God's eternal care on Thursday, August 29, 2013, at Hershey Medical Center. Born August 21, 1990, in York, she was the daughter of Margaret P. (Pisula) Miller and the late Clarence A. "Shorty" Miller. Amy was formerly employed with the Hanover Hospital as a Phlebotomist. She was a 2008 graduate of Delone Catholic High School in McSherrystown, where she was a cheerleader all four years and a member of the National Art Honor Society. Amy was a graduate of the phlebotomy program at Carroll Community College, and was a member of Sacred Heart Basilica in Hanover. She was the motivating spirit for Amy's Ride in which over $100,000 was made for Cystic Fibrosis. Amy loved her family as well as her cats and dog, and was a great artist producing beautiful oil paintings. Surviving, in addition to her mother, are her brother, Al Miller and his wife Tara of Hanover; a niece, Shyanne Miller; maternal grandparents, Dr. Vincent and Amy Pisula; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Following cremation, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 2, 2013, at Sacred Heart Basilica, 30 Basilica Dr., Hanover, with Rev. Lawrence J. McNeil officiating. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Hanover. Friends and relatives will be received Monday 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Murphy Funeral Home, 501 Ridge Ave., McSherrystown.
