Betty Grimm

HANOVER Betty Caldwell Grimm, 84, died, Thursday, December 6, 2012, at the Hanover Hospital. She was the wife of Germain Grimm, who died in April, 2001. Born September 19, 1928, in Fincastle, Va., Betty was the daughter of the late Ann (Reedy) Engle. Betty enjoyed traveling years ago with her husband. She was an avid Bingo player, playing most often at the Midway Fire Co. Betty was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed cooking and baking and her family loved eating her home made rolls at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Surviving is a daughter, Suzanne Kuhn and her husband Bob of Hanover; a son, Clarence Spurlock and his wife Mary of Gettysburg; two grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Cody Kuhn and five step grandchildren, Jess Brougher, Michelle Sterner, Bobby Small, Jeff Small and Missy Ward and eight step great-grandchildren. A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Grimm will be held at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday at Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover with Lisa Edwards, MIT officiating. A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity to view will be from 6 p.m. until the time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
